About Us

We are a Spanish and British couple who moved to Spain over 15 years ago. We initially began teaching English as a foreign language. In 1995 we started to run our own translation agency, Sierralink.

We are now offering new services in collaboration with several professionals to fill a gap in this area. With the coming of a significant number of people from abroad, especially English, there is a mismatch between the services they find and what they expect from the different professionals.

We are setting up a network with lawyers, architects and other professionals to offer you a full range of services characterised by efficiency, reliability and transparency.

Luisa was born in Andalucia. In 1983 she left Spain to go to the UK where she lived for over 8 years in N. Yorks, London and Scotland. She worked as information systems manager for a publishing house, taught Spanish, and finally set up her own freelance translation business.

Simon was born in South-East England. Originally working for Barclays Bank's city-based computer centre, he moved into the world of publishing after gaining his degree, working as proof-reader and office manager for four years with CSP Publications. Simon plays a key support role in the administrative and organisational side of the business.

In 1990 Simon and Luisa decided it was time for a change and moved to Málaga with their two children. There they ran a very successful agency teaching English and offering translation services. In 2001 they bought a house in Mecina Bombarón in the Alpujarras.

They have personally gone through the whole procedure of house buying, building, and renovation, learnt from mistakes and successes, and have accumulated a wealth of information about how things are done in the area.

Luisa has run the administrative side of the business for many years and so has a tremendous knowledge base regarding taxes, accounts, and all the ins and out of running a business in Spain. She also has very good organisational and interpersonal skills.
